Writing Comedy for Radio and TV, with David Mounfield with special guests. 

Starting Saturday 31st January 10 am - 4 pm, followed by 6 - 8 pm sessions on Mondays 9th and 23rd February.

Award-winning writer, performer and comic actor David Mounfield brings you a ‘how to’ guide for those aspiring to write for radio and television. Perhaps you never have before but want to try, or maybe have begun and need a bit of help and advice. Starting out can be a daunting and lonely business; come and get the lie of the land and improve your chances in what is a competitive field of endeavour.

David shall be augmenting his insider knowledge by inviting a series of industry professionals who have written for, produced and appeared in a vast array of TV and radio comedy.

Taking place over one day and a series of evenings, this course will cover all bases, give to you the insiders tips, tell you the mistakes before you make them, and give you the space to hone your writing for the exacting broadcasting sector.

About the Workshop Leader

David Mounfield is a multiple award winning writer and performer who has appeared in and sometimes written for written for Jerry Sadowitz (The People versus for Channel 5, 3 series), The Ornate Johnsons (Slightly Filthy series for LWT and BBC 4 Edwardian Special), Jo Caulfield (It's That Jo Caulfield Again series 1 BBC R4), Johnny Vegas (Who's Ready for Ice Cream? Universal Pictures) and Count Arthur Strong's Radio Show, series 1-3 and counting, BBCR4. He has co written and developed three sitoms, "Night and Day" for Universal pictures,  "Wavelength" for the BBC,  and is currently developing a comedy drama for the BBC.  He is also writing sketches for "School of Comedy", (Channel 4), and  has just completed writing an animated DVD on parenting for Littleloud.    The play david co-authored last year "Follow me", has won four awards, toured internationally this year, and will be appearing at The Riverside Studios January 09.
