Writing for Competitions with Vanessa Gebbie.

Brighton Writers’ Centre.
Price £40 or £30 Concessionary Rates and Friends of THE SOUTH
What makes a piece of work stand out from the rest in a field of several thousand? What will give your stories a better chance of bobbing up to the longlist and shortlist? This two part course will give you the tools to sharpen existing stories and to write stronger new work. Please come prepared to examine your own writing objectively, bringing some examples to work on, old and new. We will also be discussing the dos and don’ts of competition writing. Not suitable for beginners.
